• Remain Calm. Most animals will try to avoid confrontation.
• Slowly back away. Never run. Yell at the animal. Raise your arms.
• If you are attacked, fight back.

Dude.. Jackie and I went hiking in the mountains in grantsville last august.. we hiked pretty far up, then it went like silent. (we got the whole thing on video) jackie turns the camera and says “shay.. is that an animal” I turned around and looked at where she was pointing.. and it was a mountain lion like 10 feet away from us.. WE backed away slowly and as quiet as we could.. i was freaking out!It was fun though! hahaha
